hit twice in one month

I've been driving my dodge viper red 67 chevy for about a month now, and I was backed into about three weeks ago at work, and I had it fixed about 2 weeks ago, and today I was hit by what I think was a white 2000 tahoe, it did about what I'm estimating 1000$ worth of damage. It was a hit and run at a gas station, the station had surveillance cameras so the police are looking into that, if that doesnt work, I'll be driving around town with a 12 ga. looking for Tahoes with red streaks on the front right sides.
It is very aggravating, I drove a 1994 Crown Victoria since I was sixteen with zero problems, no tickets, no accidents, and no parking lot dings.

I've been driving my cherry 67 for a month, I turn 18 on tuesday and I have been screwed twice in a single godamned month. My tip to the guys getting ready to paint their trucks, dont paint them red, they are like fuc#$&^ bullseyes!!

That really sucks..

I was backed into while driving my Mom's car a couple months ago; the lady tried to just drive off. I followed her back to her house.. was certainly an interesting conversation.

Related Question

Sorry to hear about the H/R, I've been lucky so far with my trucks. My Red "Rice Burner", however, was rear ended by a Tahoe. Left a neat imprint on my trunk. HIS insurance totaled it, gave me $750, and I had to buy it back as salvage for $265. Still driving it, 2 years later.

How did your insurance treat you? Have seen several posts lately regarding insurance on Classic and Vintage trucks. Most of it prohibitivly expensive for good coaverage, or minimum coverage just for licensing purposes.

They seem to come in spurts. I got hit in the rear bumper twice in Houston in one month. The first woman paid me cash for a new bumper so her ins. would'nt go up. Thats why many don't stop any more. Ins. keeps going up and things cost so much to repair- like $1500 for a big scratch.

My experience with "classic" insurance is just the opposite - it's considerably cheaper than "regular" insurance. The drawback is that most "classic" insurers place restrictions on driving the vehicles - that's why they are cheaper. I'm currently getting full coverage through Hagerty for about $100/year.

Thanks johnnyp for the link to Haggerty. I have a future candidate for them. Just have to find the lockable garage to keep it in. The lockable garage I have now is occupied by too much other "Stuff".
