No something is wrong there. It's supposed to be all greasy and dirty. That clean painted stuff won't work at all....

I would have to say that your going to get a hard pull to the left when applying the brakes. Or its not going to ride right unless you get the other a frame off the floor and back on the truck.

the headers r to shiny the motor is to pretty and clean there not hubs for the wheels or shocks so i think u need them to drive around j/k lookin badazz

Thanks for the props guys. I am soooo sick and tired of prepping and painting parts!! I just want to get this thing bolted together and drive it. But unfortunately I have a long ways to go before I can do this

Looks good to me... and very clean.
Good job. Have you torqued the shafts yet? I don't see too much thread showing? BTW, do you know if you can modify a stock brake shield to work on a drop spindle? Again, looking good.

Looks like you are doing a great job there. Clean is good. It will be nice when you get it done and you can say "I did it". Getting to drive it and getting all the thums up is not bad eather.

I got a replacement from the junk yard. When I was cleaning them up to paint them, I noticed the newer one is much thinner steel than the original. That looks awesome!! Looking at those pic's i noticed your LCA are not lipped or trimmed for wheel clearance.
I dont know what size wheels you plan to run but you may need to go back and trim that lip off. |

I hope I can use the Impala SS wheels I have. They are 17"x8.5" with 5.06" backspace. I may have to use a spacer to push them out a bit.
I need two more parts to finish up the steering/suspension. The centerlink and the bracket or 'post' that the idler arm pivots on. I threw my originals away when I stipped the truck thinking I would replace them with new parts. Problem I'm finding now is you can't buy them new. If anyone has these for sale, please let me know.
