Why I Love my "heavy half" Suspension...
When I need to put the ol' girl to use, she's ready. The load she hauled tonight was 70 sheets of 7/16" OSB sheathing from Home Depot (that's 2 sheets more than a full skid). At approximately 45 lbs per sheet, that's about 3150 lbs.
Now, to be clear, I didn't have far to go, and I took it easy, but I LOVE having a vehicle that can do this. Last edited by Zilverado; 09-03-2005 at 12:05 AM. |

Well, since you asked...
I am finally getting started on our 26x30 foot garage/shop that I have been dreaming of for a while. I am hoping to get the slab (heated of course ) in before the snow flies. The building itself will go up next spring/summer. I am stocking up on materials to avoid the higher prices that are inevitable with the recent damage from Katrina. I fully expect lumber and sheathing prices to escalate as soon as the rebuilding starts, so this way I can save a few $$$. I will definitely be posting photos of the garage build as it proceeds. |
