Yes I recommend that you don't do it. It's just my opinion, but I don't see the point in changing to the new style front end if your going to cover most of it up with a phantom grill? Maybe billet inserts, but not a phantom....

I agree with N2.
But, I'm guessing that you were referring to inserts. Precision Billet Grilles makes inserts for 88-91 burb front ends. I believe they also make SS grilles. I think I've seem the billets go for 'bout $100. The truck below wears one.

phantom grille for 89-91 burb front?

anyone here have a / or bought a phantom grille for a 89-91 burb style front end???

i'm thinkin about going this route, i'm just not sure what they cost (i'm guessing a chit load of $$ like everything else)

or can anyone recommend/ or have any personal experience with a really nice quality brand? (one that actually fits like its suppose to?)

Wouldn't a regular phantom grille for the 81 and up work since they use the same fenders and hood?

wow bodydropped!

that truck freakin rocks man!....thats pretty much the look i'm going for right there!...i dont think the phantom for the 81-87 would work, b/c the headlights and parklights seem to "stick out" alittle more on the burb style....but the rad support bolt holes are the same, exept for the middle grille mount

i wish i was better at body work, i'd love to have mine look like the one in your pic ya posted...thats bad azz
