Does Anyone Know
What is involved in putting in 73 spindles in a 68 1/2 ton 2wd? will 73 upper and lower ball joints mount on my 68 control arms? and are the outer tie rod ends the same? let me know .thanks

Everyone that I know, when doing that swap changes the entire front crossmember. I do not believe that the ball joints will fit the 63-70 "A" arms. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

The balljoints from a 73 will fit your 68 arms, the outer tierod end will NOT fit. You can buy an adapter or use the 71-72 steering linkage, the 73 tierod end will fit it...
Lots of other issues to this (ie brakelines, turning radius, master cylinder, proportioning valve, etc.) Read these, they will help answer your questions. By the way, I have used 73 spindles 3 times and didn't change the cross member, it can be done many different ways... if you get the lower a-arms from a 71-up you won't have the steering issues
