60-63 One Piece Windows
I'm in the process of fabing up a one piece window set up for my '61. After I started the mod I saw a '63 in a mag with one piece windows. Anyone know of a manufacturer or done it yourself. I have the details of mine pretty well set but I'm just curious here.

How are you doing this? Isn't the window opening larger at the top than the bottom?

I've seen it in the mags too. I'm sure it was project Old Skool. Classic Trucks was the mag I think. Check out the site for details. I know that they are there. Classic Trucks has always been good about including the company name and contact info for all the products that they install or have installed. PanelRodder

No Limit Engineering, San Bernadino, Ca has a unit for 64-66's. Didn't see one for a 61 but stranger things have happened. Hope it helps.

A friend/co-worker has a 63 with one piece glass and it rolls down....about an inch. We've looked at ways to make it roll all the way down but do not think it is possible.......would be happy for someone to prove us wrong!

I've done some mocking up and it is possible. The window just has to tilt as it drops to prevent the lower rear corner from hitting the door latch. I guess I'll just go with my plan and let you guys know how it turns out. If anyone finds anything else, please post!

I've came up with 2 ways to do the 1 piece windows on the '60-'63 trucks.
The first one I thought of was reworking the top of the inner side of the door(vent area), and the "A" pillar on the cab. I was going to striaghten the inner side more straight up & down, but with the door shut, it still has the original angle on hte door. The cab "A" pillar will also need to be more up & downwards to match the reworked door. The other idea I came up with was use the window channels from a the rear doors of a Hon-duh import. Using these will rotate the glass towards the bed like it will spin around & go down into the doors. My nieghbors car gave this one. David

Re: 60-63 One Piece Windows
The web sight says 60-63 But the photo sure looks like 64-66 glass to me. They also have the glass for the gauge cluster. I wonder if it has the numbers embossed like the factory plastic ones.

Re: 60-63 One Piece Windows
i purchased the kit referenced above, and its a complete set-up however its no the easiest to install. After attempting to install it myself i gave up. The main problem is the felt, which is loose and sloppy. The glass is cut at the right angles, but if not set right the window will bind. The customer service is pretty awesome, they have a guy there who will talk you through the install. Overall its worth a try.
