carb question

I have new truck with holly carb not sure witch looks like 4150 anyway it has manual choke with no cable on it.

As it will be my DD I need some kind of choke any thoughts on electric or cable anyone have any pics of how th cable mounts in the engine and cab? Leaning toward manual so I can use it when I want?

Thanks

more than likely holley makes a choke conversion kit to convert it over to electric if you wish to go that route, if you go with a manual you could get a universal choke cable and mount it in a convienant location below the dash if on the 68 I believe the factory location would of been through the dash bezel
by the wiper switch if originally equiped with a manual choke.
electric is the way to go in my opinion.

Electric chokes are easy add-ons to Holleys.

In a 68, the choke has a spot in the bezel.. upper right, all by itself.

Here's a pic of the dash with a factory choke and throttle cable.
BTW, with this setup, the throttle cable is purposely adjusted to provide the fast idle circuit (for warmup) and it doesn't apply any throttle until it is almost completely pulled out...you might be better off just installing an automatic choke kit from Holley..IMHO

The Holley elec. chokes are good units. Easy to adjust and low maintenance. I just turn the key in mine and drive it. Works great any time of year.

If you really want to stick with a manual choke, buy a new repop choke cable for the stock location.
