Fusible Link location

I lost power to the engine and guages today and fiqure it is a fusible link because I still have lights and interior lights.
Where is that engine/ignition fusible link.......by the starter?

there is one down by the starter and also one near a block at the top of the firewall near the middle of the truck thats the one that usually goes bad I had to replace that one on my 86 earlier this spring hope it helps Doc

I would check the one atop the firewall like a28doc mentioned, I had that one go bad on me once.

Is that one up top connected to the junction block near the middle of the firewall?
If so which side.....driver or passenger side of the junction?
Also, if the top one goes out, does it kill the engine/ign. circuit or the body circuit?

its I believe drivers side of that junction block and it kills the ignition when it goes but you will still have headlights etc hope this helps Doc
