hood clearance with blower

Im thinking about putting a weiand 177 blower on my 454 in my 75 C-15. Im curious if any of you have this set up & can tell me how tall of a cowl hood Id need in this application. Goodmarks steel cowl hood is 2 1/2" might clear , but air cleaner size could be a real issue, Harwood has 3 & 4" cowl hoods, maybe Ill need to go that route. John

From bottom of intake (top of block) to the bottom of the hood, there is approximately 15", I think the blower should fit under the stock hood. I thought I remember someone who had theirs under stock hoood.

The GoodMark hood doesnt give you any more clearance then a stock unit unless you were to cut the supports. You can get a blower under a stock hood if you were to use a side draft airlid but it's very tight.
