Brake tech questions
Hey all, let's see if anybody knows these nitty gritty details.
I pulled my gigantic stock booster and stock m/c from my 69. Already sold it off on Ebay, should have waited...oh well. I have a new 8" dual booster and vette type m/c. I also got all new hardlines from Inline Tube. Problem is the new m/c has 3/8" ports (as does the new prop valve) which is much smaller than stock lines. I need to get the appropriate m/c and prop valve. I called Inline Tube and they tell me the sizes between the m/c and valve are 1/2"-20 and 9/16"-18. I don't have the parts in front of me - can anybody tell me what sizes go where? |

Seems that when I was looking at the lines from Inline Tube, 3 of the fittings were the same and one was larger. Kind of hard to tell from the pic though. Thanks for posting!

Sorry I took so long to get back with ya. Here we go...
Large line hooks into the front chamber to P-valve, small line goes to the rear chamber. Out of the rear of the P-valve the large line feeds the rear brakes running down to the frame, across the front axle and to the back along the right frame rail. Out of the front bottom of the P-valve the smaller line goes down to the junction and T's off, one to each side of the front brakes. These pics are from a 71 with disk fronts. Need anything else? If so PM me. |
