what i did today
I did a heater core in my truck, i was getting tired of topping up the rad and the water inside. took 2hrs to do and was not that hard to do. found a broken lighter in it too

Was the broken lighter in the water line? No wonder you had trouble. But how would a lighter get into the heater core in the first place??

the lighter was in the heater box, must have fallen in through the defroster vent
