What did you get done?
I worked this weekend so the only thing truck realted I did was wash a couple of drivers. Beyond that I researched travel arrangments for a trip to Atlanta in March.
Today I worked in my yard doing a bit of clean up, killing ants and planted some fall color. What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done?
I worked Saturday... can't complain too much - it was at double-time
I had to fix my Burb before I could drive home though One of the wires that attaches to the 2-post terminal block high on the firewall had finally become too crispy to give me ignition power So on my lone day off (today) I went for a walk to the park with my wife & kids.

Re: What did you get done?
Installed my Lokar throttle and kickdown cables. Only thing truck related. I did have to cut down two Dogwood trees. There is some kind of disease going round that is slowly killing them. I had two that finally gave up the ship.

Re: What did you get done?
I changed the oil and washed my new daily:
I picked it up last friday. It has 25k miles on it, 03 premium package, 5 spd. Got it for 15k. It also has full SLP exhaust (long tube headers, cats, x-pipe, and loud mouth), K&N FIPK, Dyno tuned with a Dialbo Sport II tuner. I know its a ford, but man its a blast to drive. Other than that I took the '78 up to lowes to get a few 2x4's to fix my futon with. It finally broke the other day. Thats it beside some cleaning of the house.

Re: What did you get done?
I actually did something to my 84 today! My buddy dropped off my step bed that has been sitting in his garage & my son & I sat it on the truck. I took a bunch of pics & sinse I had his trailor here we went & picked up the short fleet bed the body shop guy gave me. Out came the camera again. Im having a hard time deciding which box to use but Im leaning toward the fleet side. Any comments??? corn

Re: What did you get done?
I changed the oil and filter on the '91 Burb, changed out the thermostat also. Winter coming on and the better half likes the heat to work when it's 15 degrees and snowing.
cornfed: Just my two cents but I like the fleetside bed also. Think it follows the truck body lines better. Again, my two cents.

Re: What did you get done?
Does calling the plumber to roto rooter the drain count? Late entry from last weekend: Finally got the new roof on the house, added more vents and painted the new fascia board. Got it on just in time to weather the storm last night. 60mph winds in my neck of the woods. Nothing truck related.

Re: What did you get done?
Friday night I rolled to Gainesville with Kenduhl to drop off Hamer Toes'(LOHRTBT) new truck and have dinner at Chili's(damn the service was slow).
Sunday I put mobil 1 5w30 in the Tahoe with a PF1218 Delco filter. I greased the front end on Jess' truck with Mobil 1 synthetic grease. |

Re: What did you get done?
this is the first time in a long time i can honestly say i did something 73-87 related. I went and looked at a 1987 c 30 today as a possible work truck/get around vehicle. It has the utility body on it as opposed to a regular bed and it sucks gas like a pig but for its age it didnt look bad and it has the setup for air conditioning so i may consider it. The girl friend is all for it and she even liked driving it but im not sure i want to buy such a truck..

Re: What did you get done?
I slept in. I know that sounds lazy, but after 4 straight weeks of 70+ hrs, I needed it.
I actually got out to the garage too! Saturday, I pulled the balancer off the 350 that came out of N2TRUX's 77 & then swapped the timing set out for a Cloyes Dbl Roller set-up. Installed a new Mellings oil pump. Cleaned up the front timing cover (which looked good from the outside but was a mess everywhere else). I did the running around BS searching for the right bolts to get the V8 in place of the inline 6. Today I had to run up to work & use the larger bench-vise to fix my balancer installer/remover that got messed up on Saturday (1 use & the threads were boogered up already ). Once I got back home, I started cleaning all the surface areas on the block for good gasket adhesion (oil pan rails, timing cover area, head gasket area, etc...). I ran out of light while running a tap through all the head bolt holes on one side of the motor; still have the other side to finish. Maybe I can get more done this week & actually get this thing installed this year . Technically, this motor swap is for my 68 & this is the 73-up area.... but the engine was in a show worthy 77 so I figure you guys will indulge me. I'll get some pics of the install & the motor sitting on the stand & stuff. I'm going to do a product assessment on the 'Performance-Online' tubular engine frame mounts + trans crossmember & will share my thoughts.

Re: What did you get done?
Well it is also my weekend to work so I have done nothing truck related. I actully left it home all weekend so my insurance adjusted could finally finish her paperwork and take a few more photos. Still haven't heard from the other guys insurance company? I am going to call them tomorrow. I actually rode the bike into work this weekend so the truck would be available. Man I love Arizona, motorcycling in November! That was fun, I have been ignoring it for a while.
Cornfed- I am also a fan if fleets but that step looks really good too! I love that stance, can't wait to drop mine some more! Hot Hot Hot!!! Good luck making that decision it is going to be a toughy!!!

Re: What did you get done?
Well as always I didn't work on anything truck related or anything that belongs to me. I did however finished my frig that I sold to a customer that had to have it after I restored it but he wanted a Rat Rink painted on it among other things so it's finally done and I can now check another project off my list. If you can zoom the "BC" can in his hand read the writing at the bottem of the can, just our little friendly slam to Boyd!

Re: What did you get done?
Well after I met up with Izzy and Kendall..Drove my new bucket back home and got to work on it. Washed and clayed it that night when I got home.
Sat and Sunday, I sprayed in bedliner, Painted the lower dash black to match the rest of the black interior, painted the gauge cluster and cleaned up the gauges from dustiness, replaced the light in the a/c cluster, replaced teh light in the domelight, undercoated the wheel wells, Did some experimental fixing on the door panels that were really messed up...might just end up replacing them. Put a battery tie down on the battery. Found that the radiator has a hole in it and is foaming badly when I stop after driving. So I need to have that fixed. I think this week I am gonna pull that out and replace or repair it, get new plugs and wires and then really detail out the engine bay. whew!! hehe

Re: What did you get done?
I started repinning the 7730 (TPI) harness to work with the 7749 (SY/TY turbo) ECM. I didn't post this but about 3 weeks ago I got the upper TPI intake sandblasted.
Here is a crappy pic of the TPI harness work starting...
