I will probably get some rear discs for for my K5 one of these days. For now I am enjoying my newfound front discs!

Re: Rear disc conversion brackets

Kits can be used. If your creative you can put your own kit together. I made my own on my dana 60. Used camaro 82-92 calipers and caddy 5 lug rotors. I used brackets that I had to cut down a little. Brackets are welded onto rear housing. I dont have much in the whole disc set up. Think details are in this thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=140448

Re: Rear disc conversion brackets

If those are by steel tech they work great. I put a set on a 10 bolt 8.5 rear. Worked out well for me.

Re: Rear disc conversion brackets

Cool! Thanks for the info. Yes it is steel techs.

I was planning on trying these out. I’m glad someone on this board has a set and is happy with them. It makes me a little more confident in my purchase.

Re: Rear disc conversion brackets

I got mine from a board member(hilljob26) and they have 4 bolts instead of the three like steeltechs. The ones hilljob26(Mike) sells look much more heavy duty and work with stock Chevy truck rotors, 88 6 lug 4x4 rotor iirc

Re: Rear disc conversion brackets

I saw some one use rear discs from a 94-96 Impala SS (maybe 9C1 police package) It had a nice built in E-brake too. Don't remember if he made the brackets or if they were purchased... This is obviously for the 71+ 5 lugs
