power rear window?

I was at the junk yard getting the bedside for my 69 & BS'ing with the owner. I look over at his dually 4door & see it has no rear window. I said how'd you bust out your rear window? He said its not broken, its a factory power slider. I went over & checked it out, pretty darn sweet. Nope, he wouldnt sell it. Ever seen one?...corn

I've seen a bunch, but that was a very long time ago. I'm looking to put one in my truck, but no can find now.

Re: power rear window?

C.R Lawrence made them a LONG time ago ( 1990'ish) I thought about getting one then, but didn't. Wish I did now...

I remember those.
He called it factory? Maybe the dealer installed it when he took delivery?

Re: power rear window?

Thanks for the info. I asked him if it could be an aftermarket acc or a conversion option of some sort. The reason I say conversion is because the truck has all sorts of stripes painted on it like conversion vans do. Its kind of funky looking, but just funky enough looking that I LIKE IT. Again, thanks...corn

Re: power rear window?

Pimp my ride did one .

Styling concepts has a one piece removable unit that always got me thinking. I like the clean look of a solid window, but I'd love to get some air in there. I have 2/40 air now.

I've worked with a lady a few years ago that her husband had one in the box for sale but wanted like $500 for it. I would love to have one but not at that prce.

Re: power rear window?

If memory serves me correctly, that was the original price and one of the reasons I didn't get one.

Re: power rear window?

Damn, I want it.

I just made a good sized purchase for my truck, or else I would definately get that.

Someone on here has to buy it.

Yep, the "buy it now" is why I missed it. I was emailing him back and forth about some info on it. I have several pics of it now, just no window. I was going to drive and pick it up. Oh well...

Did someone here get it?

Re: power rear window?

Crap, it's gone. When I looked this morning it was still at .99 with a "Buy it Now" for 100.00. I planned to email him today and ask what shipping would be. To late now.....

Re: power rear window?

The one in chevy duty is the sliding one, not the up and down.
