I recieved my new McGaughy's 4 1/2 -- 6" drop, recieved it incredibly fast, once I get it on I will post pics of the process.!! I also finished my 350, it's completed and beefed up ready to go! Maybe with the cold weather I can finally get some real work done on her.

when i saw your title, i thought you were talking about the bed wood kit!!!! lol that tranny's looking sweet - most tranny's like that say "overhaulin" across the top of the bellhousing!

Actually corn, your not crazy, I got another truck, the body was just to horrible to work with, see the 1st and second pics. I now have a 74 that came out of SC by way of Texas, very clean. As for the tranny, it is the long tailshaft, might just be the picture. I put the flip kit on last night, nothing could be easier, will post pics soon!! The kit from Mcgauhy was not that bad price wise, but I have made a friend at the cnc shop there, a reall great guy and fellow truck enthusiast. If your asking about the drop you need to check out the sept. 2005 issue of CCT (Custom Classic Trucks) They did a build on a 75 stepper that looks awsome and is more informative than anything I have ever read, I highly recommend this magazine!!!!

--About the c-notch, I was told that it would be in the best intrest to instal them, besides they came with the package, but also, I am installing a bag kit in the rear to tow with, so this will benefit me in the future, besides if not after you put the 6" flip kit in, you only have about 1.7" clearences on the bump stop, They provide you with a new bump stop and give you 2.5" more travel for the rear axle.

--As for an added headache I am going to re-wire the entire thing with an E-Z wire kit, I have used this kit before and it is easy as it says too! Plus in the long run a frame off resto should be done right the first time RIGHT!

Do they have a website? I'm wondering if they haev a gauge wiring kit like Painless does. I'm tired of having to take all the wires off and reconnect them anytime I have to work behind there.

I'm sure they do, There is always an add in street scene. Ahh, here it is... http://www.ezwiring.com/ That should help you, I bought the painless guage wiring kit though, it is adaptable to the e-z wire kit. I also finished the c-notch, heres the pics for those, I decided not to bolt the kit on, I am welding it on. Thr u-bolts are not tightened yet, wanted to make sure all went well first, you know the old saying, measure twice, cut once!! Might I make a reccomendation, this is alot easier to install without the bed on the truck...and my plasma cutter helped alot too!

Thanks! I appreciate the motivation, I actually have a set of nitro-drop shocks for all 4 corners, should work out ok, they told me there was no need to extend them, but they did suggest a "hellwig" rear sway bar kit, I think I spelled that correctly.

How is the quality of that ez wiring kit as compared to a painless harness? Does it come with all the same connectors or do you have to splice into the stock connectors?

In my opinion, better! The ez wire is color coded and marked every five inches. Also, on the painless gauge kit it tis a direct plug in to GM steering columns.
