Dome light
When you open the door on my '86, is the dome light the only light to come on or is there suppose to be a light under the dash?

There should be a foot light in the middle underside of the dash too. My truck has one, but it might be only uplevel trucks (Silverado, Grand Sierra) that have them.

I believe it was an option...my '82 didn't have one.

My 84 Silverado has one under the dash more on the passenger side than center. It also has the one on the roof panel center in the rear on the inside of the cab. Mine should have had one outside the cab in the same area also but for some reason doesnt. I guess it was ordered or not ordered that way.

Mine is a Silverado and has the dome light and bed light but could not find one under the dash? I thought there should be one there. Do not know why the PO would take it out.

My 82 Silverado has one under the dash below the ashtray that comes on at the same time the one on the inside back of the cab comes on when you open the door.

OK, I have a wire there hanging down with a bulb in it but was not sure what it was for, Or where it goes. Below the ashtray? Will check to see if there is a place ther to mount it.
