Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving.
I'm a newcomer. Great site. Just picked up a 1971 GMC C20 with a hurt 454 ci. Surface rust but nothing major. An Arizona truck. Question is, other than this wonderful site, what books, magazines, etc., do you read/use to help with your restoration projects. And I need all the help I can get. Thanks. Mike in Tucson. |

Re: Resources
Hi Mike. Welcome from Southern California. First, I would say the vendors on this site are really helpful. Ed, at MotherTruckers, has talked me through a couple of problems. Also there are good magazines out there to get ideas from .. like Classic Trucks and Custom Classic Trucks. The LMC catalog has some good drawings in it that will help you see how things are supposed to go together. Also, you can buy reproduction assembly manuals off Ebay. I do not own one, but some members do and have posted some drawings to help others out.
I'd also say don't be afraid to ask anything on here. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask is what they always say. And if we see something silly that makes us laugh, it is probably because we had the same problem or situation previously. Again, WELCOME!
