Clutch in 63 Shortwide
I am doing a engine swap in my 63 shortwide. It currently has a 250 strait 6 in it. I am putting a Chevy 305 in its place. The problem is there are no holes to screw the clutch bracket in to the side of the 305. Is there an after market clutch linkage assembly for these or has someone ran into the same problem and already figured out how to get around this problem? Thanks in advance for the help.
Thanks, Bruce |

Re: Clutch in 63 Shortwide
Usually I just got a block that already had the boss in it for the Z-bar, otherwise. I think there are kits for this on the internet that mount it on the firewall. Can't remember where, but i'll look around for you.

Re: Clutch in 63 Shortwide
I'd be really interested in finding out about this too, as I'm doing the same thing to my '63.
