Re: Cool '72 burb on ebay,... (WA) BUY IT NOW $6000.00
It is a very nice PROJECT.
I went and looked at the truck when it was offered privately for $4800. I am at the point where I am unsure wether to spend a bunch of money on my own truck or buy another that doesn't need any work. This truck needed a lot of work yet in my opinion so it wasn't worth it. My current truck is worth about $2,000 and for the $2800 difference, I could put that in to my truck and almost end up in the same place. For someone else, it was a very nice truck for the money. It was later listed on collector car trader for $6850 by a dealer so it looks like a dealer bought it and is turning it around for some quick cash. Needed a LOT of finish work (for instance, the tube to the gas tank did not match up to the graphed in gas door and you'd have to bend it over and wrench on it just to insert the gas nozzle, gages and heater didn't work, bubbling paint, no rear hatch latch, etc) All overcomable and with time and money. By the way, when he figured out that I probably was going to pass on it, he started it up and left it idle. It sounded AWESOME!!!! : ) Very nice truck! Still listed on collector car trader. http://adcache.collectorcartraderonl...1/81823401.htm --carter |
