Found this old 69 chevy - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

It's a farm truck with assorted dents but not much rust except for the above the windshield. What's bad(good) about is that it's all original, 1 owner, protecto plate, title and everything bought brand new 25 miles away. 6cyl 4speed granny low truck. Typical Oklahoma Farm truck. Bedsides are dented and bumper is bad. Hasn't been tagged since like 84' and has 125K on her. Still has the junior college parking permits on it from like 74'.

It's actually doing much better than it was. It was in a pasture. It seems to have more rust along the roof line inside than anywhere else. Must be the caulking, gave up during those hot July-Sept summers of 100F plus. I might try to save her. I think I can locate a bed. It's just the part above the windshield that scares me.

My truck was in the same condition, just sitting there rotting. The windshield frame is mostly bondo on mine, apparently old farmers think bondo is a rust inhibitor.

If you get the truck fix that windshield frame fast. Is there any rust around the top of the doors where the weatherstrip goes around the cab?

It seems to be okay around the doors just right there by the sunvisors. Maybe a cab could be clipped in on the roof pillars or maybe that inner roof piece could be welded in with that patch panel for it.

Probably easier to replace the entire cab.
