88+ door handles

Anybody have or ever tried to put 88+ truck door handles in a 73-87? I don't want to shave them, just want a cleaner look.

Re: 88+ door handles

My 89 has had nothing but trouble with it's door handles. I'm not so sure I'd want to install a set into my truck, lol

Re: 88+ door handles

I have seen it done and it looks like crap. The reason it doesn't look right is beacuse you can't install them where the stock handle goes. They are too deep so the only place they will fit is below the body line where the door gets wider....

Not to mention how easy it is for even the not so smart thieves to pop out the factory hardware & steal your ride.

If you went this route, get some of those anti-theft plates for the backside of the handle.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: 88+ door handles

I would avoid the 88+ door handles, after getting a truck stolen you tend to hate them.
