Bent Spindle.
Well I was assembling my calipers on my stepside and when I got over to the left side the caliper wouldn't slide in. After much work and checking I discovered that the lower part where the caliper bolt goes through is bent not allowing the caliper to go on straight. It's off by about 3/16" compared to the right side that slides right on and is straight. I thought I would have this thing back on it's wheels today. It must have been hit at some time on the donor vehicle.
Does anyone happen to have a good stock left spindle for a '71-'72 C10 laying around? I'm done until I can find one. I'm using 2" ECE springs and am not too excited about tearing everything apart again to put on dropped spindles. I might consider it though if I could find some in 2" or less. Tom

Re: Bent Spindle.
I have a pair to spindles that I took off of my 72 and they are in great shape.
I would rather sell as a pair $50.00 for both. |

Re: Bent Spindle.
Sounds very fair. My son lives south of Mesa and has offered to pick these up for me. I'm heading out the door for work right now but I'll get back to you later.
I see you are doing your Corvette before your truck. I have to get my truck together before I can start my Corvette. Talk to you later. Tom Last edited by basketcase; 01-26-2006 at 08:36 PM. |

Re: Bent Spindle.
Send me a PM with your phone # and I'll have my son Jeff contact you. I think I'm just going to have him send me the left one to save on shipping and I'll pick up the other one the next time I'm out there. This way you won't have to mess around shipping either and he volunteered to do it. Good kid.

Re: Bent Spindle.
I would like to thank Andy (Fastfun) for coming to my rescue. The spindles he sold me were like new. A bargain for the price.
Thanks Andy, Tom |
