Backfire !
I posted pics of my original paint, interior, etc Black 78 Bonanza here a couple weeks ago . I also mentioned that I agreed to run it for sale once . I put it on ebay and 20 hours later .... I didnt own it anymore . I cant complain about what it brought , but I was a little mixed seeing it go yesterday . The guy that bought it has a 26,xxx mile 79 Blazer , a Black 1980 Dually as his Daily trans . , etc. so it probably will be well taken care of . I did learn a lesson . If you put a price on something ...... be ready to let it go . The money will go towards my goal of being debt free by my birthday but I know I am going to miss that truck . I pulled my 77 Bonanza out of the barn and I do have a little motivation to build it now . It will be a Short bed soon and wearing Rallys instead of the 17's . Frank

Re: Backfire !
I would be sad to see it go too, but you got a good price for it.

Re: Backfire !
I thought I had it priced above top value for this truck but it went quick . The 84 with 17,000 miles ,original tires, A/C ,overdrive ,completely loaded , etc. didnt bring that much if I remember correctly . It does show that the value is going up daily for the right truck . I think the 73-80's are more sought after than the 81-87 right now . Plus the guy was able to pick it up and drive it home . It is staying in Texas , for now at least . Frank

Re: Backfire !
I recently sold the truck in my avatar, it sold in nearly the exact same amount of time. The new owner is on their way here right now, should see them tomorrow around lunch time. It's going to be very sad to see it go!!

Re: Backfire !
Man I don't know how you did it. I keep saying I will sell my 77. but I get cold chills every time someone gets serious about it. I swore I would not fall in love with one again, but I'm pretty sure I lied...again.
I hope the new owner appreciates what he got. That was a "very" nice truck...

Re: Backfire !
That is really sad to hear. But it's all good if you are content with what you got and are able to make a good step to your goal. Plus, when debt free, that 77 might be looking that good in the near future.

Re: Backfire !
N2TRUX, I wouldnt sell your truck either . This one was bought as an investment but I didnt think it would sell , at least not at $9900 . I thought it would be worth that in a year or so . I planned to enjoy it for a while . It did look good as it was leaving and was hard to sell but I will find another one . I have sold several of my vehicles lately because I realized I didnt have the capacity to take care of all of them correctly . I am the worlds worst packrat but I am growing up . I know that I will need to be financially prepared when the boys hit there middle teens . They are 6 and 9 right now . My plan has always been to be debt free by my 36th birthday . No house payment , no car payment , etc . Then I will have a little freedom to play and will also be able to help the boys when they need it . I hear College is a bank buster . I didnt go to college but I hope my sons will . Frank
