Progress Pics: New interior is almost complete!

Seems like it has been forever since I posted progress pics last. Here is the most recent progress of the new interior. Leather hides covering the dash pad, kicks, door panels, seat, headliner insert, and rear cab wall. The rest covered in comfort seude.

Here you go:

OMG that's beautiful. I'm saving these pics on my computer. Did you shave the radio area? Looks like it's flat which is exactly what I want to do to mine. Could you show a pic of your radio installed fully and a wide view of that part of the dash?

Are the door panels and headliner from roddoors? Where did you get the seat?

Re: Progress Pics: New interior is almost complete!

Guys, thanks for the positive feedback! I am really glad to see it nearing completion. Next week I am on vacation and hope to get to cruisin' in. I am thinking about running up to Tupelo to visit one of my good friends then possibly maiking a run over to Pensacola to visit with my dad. I want to make sure that she will be ready for some good Hot Rod Power Tour runs coming up this summer. I would rather save the embarassment and have her break down solo than among 5000 of your new closest friends.

Brad: Here is a pic of the radio and the dash area before we updated the interior.

Meathead95: Called Charlie yesterday about registering for the show in Maggie Valley. Played phone tag, I am currently "it". Hotel reservations, but 25-30 minutes away.

RICHARD MORGAN: The molded panels are the Dano style that I purchased from RodDoors.

If I am butting in, Dean, just tell me to sit down and shut up!!!
If I am not mistaken, those are completely hand formed by they guys that stitched it all up. And they look just as impressive at close range!

Dean, I am off on Monday, so if you have it home over the weekend, give me a shout and we can shorten your column before you head out on this road trip. Shouldn't take more than an hour or so. I can come by Saturday, Sunday afternoon, or Monday.

Re: Progress Pics: New interior is almost complete!

Putter, Thanks for fielding the questions! You are definitely at an advantage as you have been able to stop in and see the progress personally. Let me know what you got going on this afternoon, maybe I can meet you at the shop at try working on the column.

Yank, As for the window cranks... bye bye baby! New power windows! I originally wanted to mount the switches in the ash tray but they were too deep to fit. I will get you a pic as soon as they are done. The switches (2) will be mounted to the under seat trim panel in the area above the tranny tunnel. This way I can reach down with my right hand and access them, or the passenger can still get to them. Different! (A three legged dog is different, but not everybody wants one!)

I will provide more pics as they are avail.

Re: Progress Pics: New interior is almost complete!

What did you use to do the rest of the interior panels. The surround of the headliner, back of cab, rounded corners of the 3 point seatbelt location, etc.? Your truck is looking very nice. The color setup is great! Keep up the great work.

Re: Progress Pics: New interior is almost complete!

that looks awesome!

question:
when forming the speaker pods on the kick panels, do the original kick panel vents get covered and no longer used, or are they still used with the a/c system?
