New Okie from okc
Been lurkin for a bit . This is my virgin post. Tell you a bit about my set up. I drove this ole' truck through high school. "Papa" left me this '79 3/4ton long w/8 lug wheels. 2 years ago it was stolen and taken to Bleu Springs MO. Recovered ...I thought it would be great to put it back to where it was 15yrs ago.......good idea??? Until i discovered the crooks took off the vin numbers. So i bought a 82 SWB tonight it has a good 305 bad tranny which will be swaped for the new 350 motor and 350 tranny in the 3/4. I do need lots of body parts. Of course as many posters money is an object, I have to pay for my wifes 04' silverado and my hd. But, if any other okies or texans have some good parts give me a shout. The big thing i need is a bed if i can score one reasonable. If any of "YA'LL" are south side, give a hallar.

Re: New Okie from okc
Welcome from northern MN. I am from Tahlequah and still have some contacts there for parts. I just picked up a 1980 stepside bed when I was there for Christmas. What are you looking for exactly? Short wide?

Re: New Okie from okc
Yeah...for the "big score" I need a short wide bed. Passenger door, Dash pad, Door Panels. I would probably be willing to trade the 305&TH350c for a fair to = parts... I'm not for 100% yet it is a 305, but one would only assume. If it is a 350 I will have to give it to my buddy with a 87'

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi. Your best bet is to subscribe and post a "wanted to buy" thread on the parts board.

Re: New Okie from okc
I just sent an email to my buddy in Watts, OK. If he knows of a bed and door, he'll let me know and I'll pass it on to you.

Re: New Okie from okc
Thanks for the welcomes.
Northcountry67, thanks for dropping a line to your friend down here. Hope to hear something. Krue, I wish I could post WTB...But if I did the price would probably be more than I could muster. I just bought the SWB last night.Once i figure out what size the extra motor I have is, and what parts I will have left from the 3/4 long bed. I figure I will try some swappin' I doubt I would find a bed for motor deal. But maybe a short bed for everything I have + some drivin' |
