Seeing as how I just laid down $135.00 for an Optima Red Top, I'd like to be able to lock the hood on my 79.

I have decided to loose the 79 clip and put a 89-91 single headlight nose on it. Until I do that I need to lock it. Can I put the hood lock from my 85 on it?? Worse comes to worse I guess I can rig up a chain and padlock.

Any Ideas welcome.

Unless you just have to have the newer style front, you can swap out the upper part of the radiator support and hood lock (and cable) with one from a 78-80 model that came with the inside hood release. It's pretty easy, and you only have to drill one hole for the cable.
