Another Hello- from Central Texas

Well I've been "lurking" around for a while on this board reading and reading and reading . I've never been a gearhead but I bought an old truck so now I'm trying to get up to speed fast and learn as much as I can about working on these trucks.

I have a 69 shortbed stepside, 305 (rebuilt by previous owner). Manual tranny that my buddy helped me move from the column shift to floor shift. New front disc brake kit ordered and on the way. Other than that seems mechanically sound. Needs a lot of body and interior work.

Anyway this seems like a great site and just wanted to introduce myself. Please say howdy, especially if you're in Texas (anywhere near Austin area especially!).

-Mike

Re: Another Hello- from Central Texas

Thanks everyone!

71SWB- Are you anywhere near Louisville? I flew to Louisville every week for about a year and a half on an assignment a couple years ago. I like that area. Still have some friends out there. I'm not up on my Kentucky geography so you may be nowhere near Louisville though.
