78-92 Suburban doors... FOR SALE again
I just can't seem to get these things gone between buyers that simply can't find the time to pick them up or people who set up deals and never reply...
These doors are worth a frikkin fortune if you tried to piece them together in this condition, and you'd still have Repopped chinese junk (more than likely) With that said, I'm asking a very very very fair 150.00 for BOTH doors as you see in the pics. Yes that is original paint, yes they are factory smoked, and yes, they are that clean I really don't want to ship these things, but I will do so if you do it COD and I just have to drop them off at fed-ex. I'll package them up some if you'll pay the cost of my packaging materials. I'll also try to aid with somewhat local pickup, in fact I'll be in the Kansas City area here in about a week, otherwise I live in Wichita Ks. If I do have to do some driving I'd ask for a small re-imbursment for my fuel burned, as I'll have to use our gas gussling big block dually to transport them anywhere. Thanks, and please buy these dang things before I take a large torch to them out of spite.... Steve (stevenfriesen@cox.net) Doors:

Do you still have these doors. I'd like to see what it'd cost to ship them. to 41030 if you ever get a chance, I need a pair for my '79 Crew. Thanks

I'm not sure he has time to ship, which is understandable considering how busy I am these days.. I'm still waiting 1st in line for the quote to buy them myself.

Re: 78-92 Suburban doors... FOR SALE again
Hey guys, sorry to keep the thread hanging. 79Silverado is exactly right, I've been so busy that I rarely even have the chance to hop on the forums. My spring semester here just ended friday, and I'm almost moved into a new house, so as soon as this craziness settles down I'll see what I can get done.
I've never shipped something this large, have you guys? I'd like some input if you've got it on who I should use to ship the stuff safely and cost efficiently.

Re: 78-92 Suburban doors... FOR SALE again
Steve, I shipped a pair of complete doors like yours via truck freight a while back, ended up costing the buyer around $200 if I remember correctly. It would have been more if I had the freight company crate them up, but I did that and saved us a few bucks.
I have heard grayhound can ship large items like this, but I haven't done that myself.

Re: 78-92 Suburban doors... FOR SALE again
Yea, that's pretty expensive. But for a good set of doors like that, that requires no modifications, and has glass and all, that way, just throw some paint at 'em and they're good to bolt on. So just give me a holler whenever you have more time, I'm not going anywhere, neither is the truck, just put me in line first if at all possible, after '79 Silverado. I need those doors. Thanks
