roadside reflector kit
Just curious if this is original to these trucks or not I found it in the bottom of a big box of spare parts I got a while back with my 67. Its in amazing shape for its age was kinda like opening a time capsule. Almost got auctioned off on ebay. Any how let me know what you guys think. Also if it is original where was it mounted in the truck.

I was wondering the same thing. I have one that came from the longhorn I am restoring. It had a reflector kit just like this one and a gas can mounting bracket on the opposite side along with a flare holder mounted on ....I think the same side as the reflectors. I havn't decided if I was going to clean them all up and remount them so for now they are all just up on the shelf in the shop. This is the first time I had seen anyone else with one though.

I dont think it was a factory option but was put in at the dealer for states that required them for inspection.
Here in Illinois we stopped having to inspect trucks with a GVW less than 8000 Pounds close to 20 years ago. Almost every old truck I have bought has had a set like yours under the seat. the set that is still in my 72 uses flares instead of reflectors.

Dealer accessories can be harder to find and more valuable than factory options at times. When i worked at the dealership I tried to round up one of these roadside kits because of the rareity/neatness of something not many have anymore. A couple of weeks ago I bought a "camper carnival" first aid kit complete with bandages wipes etc. and the instruction manual- this is stuff if in good shape and complete will bring the jack to the right person. I gave the first aid kit to little bro since he has a 72 Custom Camper.
