Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
This is a follow up to my earlier post, to clarify that I am selling a Bed and not a Truck, it is in excellent condition, the bedsides alone are worth the price. Would be great for a driver, but probably nicer than really needed for a driver, perfect for a restoration as the bedsides require no work at all. The inside of the bed is used, with the usual scratches and all. Price is $600 or best offer to a good home. As stated before the camper shell on the bed in the pictures is free to the buyer if they want it. Trim is included as well.

Re: Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
I as using the front, it is also nice, but I am doing an extended cab project, on the long bed frame, which will require a short bed. I need the extra cab room and it makes more sense to use a short bed than stretch the frame in my opinion. If nobody else has a good use for the bed then I might make a nice trailer with it, I would just like to see it put to good use, as much as I see people looking for straight rust free bedsides I thought someone else might need this bed for an actual truck and get more use out of than I would with a trailer.

Re: Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
I am using parts of the two cabs pictured below along with my front clip for the extended cab project, I am also using a cummins 4bt diesel engine with the driveline and axles off a 71 3/4 ton 4x4. I have finally acquired all the major pieces and the project is beginning, so the bed is a casualty of my greater vision for the final project.

Yes the front sheetmetal and some of the cab from the GMC will be used, along with the transmission, transfer case and axles from a 71 3/4 ton, and a cummins 4bt engine
Here is the engine donor and engine |

Re: Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
Here is the inside of the bed, the wheelhouse looks dented worse than it really is because of the shadow and the inside of the bed has a rust stain right in the middle where something else rusted on it, the bed is not all rusty inside.

Re: Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
Truck frieght, but the size would cause it to cost at least 700-800 dollars, I looked into shipping a cab once.
I hope something becomes available in your area because it probably isn't worth the shipping cost. |

New price $500 to a good home by Sunday night, otherwise it gets moved to storage to become a trailer one day.

Re: Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
yes, it is nothing to be proud of however, previous owner screwed on a rubber mat to it and it has some rust, it functions just fine, but a new tailgate would be warranted for cosmetics.
The tailgate is included, but to be clear it probably isn't worth much other than as a working tailgate, it would not be worth restoring in my opinion. |

Same here I wish Texas was near Idaho but that would give me a total of two and a half long beds for one truck ;o)

Re: Long Fleetside Bed for sale in DFW
I hear you both, I went to pennsylvania to get 3/4 ton running gear and florida to buy a cab, sometimes its hard to find what you need locally and too expensive to ship. If someone could figure out a cheap way to move large stuff aroung they'd be rich
