What is the canister under the battery box?
I pulled my battery out yesterday - and there is a cylindrical canister under the battery - what is that?
It has two ports that are obviously missing hoses - anyone know where those ports should go to? This is a factory AC equipped 72 Blazer. Oh and it says Rochester on the top of it...

Sounds like the emissions fuel evaporator canister it should be connected to some return lines to the gas tank.
