Project Copperhead..........WOW!

Ok, did you guys catch the show? That is one awesome engine. GM really outdid themselves with that! 572 ci, 620 HP !! I wonder how many of those they will make? Or will they be limited like the ZZ smallblock?

I need one of those!

I caught only part of the show, 572=620hp, i admit that many CID is awesome but the figure for horses is pretty weak IMHO. Not saying i'd turn one down but i know of 90CID motors pushing 800 ponies It'll be one heck of a truck when it's done though i'm sure.

That 572 was bad! Good to see that Chevy is back at the top of the displacement wars. I wonder what is next....they will proably break 600 cubes, lol. I bet that motor costs 15-20k......
Even though that is way out of my price range, the buildup is really cool. It is the "ultimate" 67 so far, lol.

All I can say is WOW!! That is one BAD motor!
What is a 572? A stroked 502?
I'm sure there will be many magazine write ups on that motor.

Not at 9:1 compression! This would be a street driven motor with no problems. Although gas milage would HAVE to suck.

I just wish TNN would quit screwing with the schedule. They know the good shows and package it around a bunch of crap. Whats wrong with the same time every week.

Yeah, it looked pretty sweet, but I think it is kinda weak for the cubes also I was just looking at a couple of Chevy crate motors in a catalog and found a 534ci with 725hp@5900rpm and 685ft-lbs@4800rpm and it has over 535ft-lbs at 3500rpm and over 600ft-lbs from 4000 to 6200rpm's. And all of that on pump gas with a Holley 1050cfm Dominator carb. Or you could get a 900hp 555ci motor with 930hp@ 7200 rpm and 760ft-lbs @ 5500rpm's!! They are really cheap (HA!) The 534ci is only $12,995.00 and the 555ci is only $14,575.00 CHEEAAPP I think that I will buy 3 or 4 of them!!!!! HA! HA! HA!

Amazing what you can do with an unlimited budget, I'm sure it's going to be an awsome truck when finished.
