Lowering my truck
I have a 1972 chevy shortwheel base with coil springs in the back, did some of these trucks come with leaf springs. I want to lower my truck but am new to this. What is the best way and what is all the stuff i see about ECE 2.5/4 etc. Also how much do the lowering kits cost. Thanks

Re: Lowering my truck
I am running the ECE 4/6 drop kit on my project truck
Many here, including me, will highly recommend them, customer service is second to none IMO |

Re: Lowering my truck
JP,
ECE is Early Classic Enterprises, they sell aftermarket components for these trucks (as well as a bunch of other companies...) 2.5/4 means a 2.5" drop in the front and a 4" in the rear. As far as the best way, I would say that is debatable and depends on what you want... You can easily get a 4/6 static (static means using non-adjustable components, not air or hydraulic) drop without much $$$ invested. If you want to slam one of these the $$$ factor increases drastically. My feeling is if you go 2/4 you will wish you went 4/6, I would go 4/6 to start with (this is as low as you can get without a c-notch). I hope you were asking for something this basic, if not I apologize. Good luck and have fun, Rg
