700R transplant
I just aquired a 700R transmission out of an 85 z28 camaro. how do i go about installing it in my 77 short half ton. it has a 350 engine and 350 trans. do i have to shorten the driveline? what about a flexplate? what about the crossmember ect.? thanks

You will need to drill holes for the transmission crossmember. The crossmember need to be moved back a little over 2". Visit this website for exact dimensions. http://www.tciauto.com/tech_info/trans_dims.htm
The driveshaft will have to be lengthened. Trucks all havebr long tailshaft tranny's. Most cars had short tailshaft tranny's. The 350TH oil lines are the same.
