Blazer keys ???
Maybe I missed this, if so please excuse me but I haven't seen a thread like this before, here it goes:
For the original rigs owners got a question, does you blazer/jimmy have a one same key only set of ignition/doors/hatch/console/inside compartement door? were they ever available from the factory as a set? dealer add on? I recently found a possible source for a keyed set for 5 different locks? My blazer I think it only has a single key for the ignition and doors, haven't checked to see it it matches the hatch too, but in the future when I go topless I'd like to have a lock in my console and inside door compartment to keep my valuables safe as well

Re: Blazer keys ???
Yes, one key does it all. Mine takes care of the ignition, doors, and hatch. I don't have a lock on my console and "inside compartment door".???

Re: Blazer keys ???
I don't think they were available for the console. I thought you could get a glovebox lock but it was a smaller key. Someone who knows exactly will respond.

Re: Blazer keys ???
I've never seen a console with a lock. You can buy lock sets that that have matching ignition, doors and glovebox, but that would leave your hatch key not matching. A locksmith should be able to rekey your glovebox to match the rest (not sure about the console since locks wheren't factory).

Re: Blazer keys ???
asiantony - welcome to the board from Seattle. You dug deep to find this thread.
You can get keyed sets for the ignition, door and glove box, but not the hatch. A locksmith should be able to rekey the hatch to the ignition/door key. Post some pictures of your rig when you get a chance.

Re: Blazer keys ???
I have a buddy who is a locksmith, and he keyed all my vehicles the same. Well the ones that share the same blank. 76 Argosy motor home, two 72 Blazers, and a 72 3/4 ton pu. It cuts down the weight of my key chain.

Re: Blazer keys ???
with Bouncer, you can get repop sets, "GQ" has one, that opens the doors, ignition, and the glovebox, but hatch is locksmith only.
