popping in exhaust
I have just rebuilt a chev 350 ,I have put in roller rockers and 202 heads and some old headers.when I start the truck it runs for a few minutes then starts to pop and will do this untill it gets to about 160 degs.but not all the time.
any one out there have this problem ??? Tom. thanks |

i want to think detonation, but temperature zone dont sound right. what compresion ratio and what fuel octane are you running?

How is your timing looking when it is popping? Sure you adjusted the valves correctly?

It almost sounds like you didnt put the plugwires in the right order.
1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2 thats from memory as when you have to set valve lash on a solid or roller cammed motor you burn that into your memory. |
