steering a slammed '71

I got a '71 Chevy short bed with 3" drop spindels and 3" drop coils. My problem is my tie rod ends hit the brake line brackets that are mounted to the lower a-arms. Has anyone else had this problem?

I dont mind cutting them off. I wonder if it might still rub the a-arm though.

Do you have drum brakes? IIRC, the drum brake's line mount is on the front edge of the arm and the disc mount is on the rear edge of the arm. It's not a particularly critical bracket so long as your brake line isn't getting caught up in the linkage or getting rubbed or kinked in any way. Should be easy enough to move as needed.

I have factory disc brakes on the front. I went to the Good Guys Nationals in Nashville over the weekend and looked at a few of the trucks and found a way to fix it. I think its about to be bagged now!
