327 alternator mounting brackets help.
I have a 68 327 that has no holes tapped into the heads, I am running headers and don't like the bracket that attaches to the header bolts. I am running only an alternator. Does anyone have a favorite brand/item that they would use?

Re: 327 alternator mounting brackets help.
I used some billet brackets from March Pulleys that works well. Of course I have the holes in the heads, but I'm sure they have something that will work for you. They're costly but well worth it. I was having issues because I have the tall valve covers due to roller rockers, and couldn't find anything that would work that looked decent.

Re: 327 alternator mounting brackets help.
From March Pulleys, huh? I haven't heard of them yet. I am also running (or will be running) taller valve covers for roller tipped rockers. I have looked at a Summit catalog, and it is not very explanatory as to which components work with what. I'll give them a try. Thanx.

Re: 327 alternator mounting brackets help.
I had checked out March Performance and found a bracket system that "may" work, I will now need to measure my framerail and see if it will fit.

Won't fit. Gotta try something else. Hopping onto the web today between tasks.
