Sheetmetal measurements and question on body line
Can somebody with a LWB fleetside bed meaures the size of the bedside from front of bed to front edge of wheel opening (see green line). Also, do all of the bed lines stay completely horizontal in this space (the topmost line looks like it might not be exactly horizontal-- see red line)

Re: Sheetmetal measurements and question on body line
No it does not stay parallel to the ground it tapers downward just slightly. Maybe not even noticable.
I will measue the line from the top of the bed to the body line tonight to be sure for you. As well as the measurement you asked for. I can get measurements tonight and post tomorrow.

Re: Sheetmetal measurements and question on body line
How about using a couple of door skins? They will probably contain most of the curves that you want. You may have to slice and dice them a little, but it would save you time from trying to chop up a bed.

Re: Sheetmetal measurements and question on body line
You know if they both tapered inward on the tailgate it might just look cool.
