84 Tranny question
My brother is piecing together a 84 p/u that the po removed the engine/tranny. Looking at the driveshaft and shifter on the column we are assuming it had a TH350 (only 3 positions on the shifter and the shaft fit in my bro's 700r4). My bro put a 700R4 out of an early 80's Caprice in it. The truck had a plug on the wiring harness that plugged into the tranny on the drivers side. After reading a thread here I think the tranny it had was a TH350C. If that's the case, will the same circuit that operated the t/c lock on the 350c work on the 700?

Re: 84 Tranny question
Im not sure if it will work or not. I would check the pin placement of the transmission plug and the wire connnector.

Re: 84 Tranny question
I would not think it would be the same and if your wrong you might burn up the switches inside tranny.

Re: 84 Tranny question
The wiring harness is identical to the one in the 83 parts truck (which had a 700r4 in it) so we're hoping we're good to go.
