Newb from West Virginia
Hello, My name is John and I am from West Virginia/Western Maryland. I have recently aquired a 1970 3/4 Ton 4x4 Chevrolet for $100. The pickup is in rough shape. Ill go through a good and bad parts list on the truck. Ill get some pics up as soon as possible
Good ____ Frame Both fenders Hood Tranny ---- 4-speed manual Bad ___ Cab Bed Everything else will be minor to replace. Im more worried about body as of now. A little specs on the truck as far as I know.... Front axle is a Dana 44 4.55's . Original engine was a 350 that is no longer in the pickup. Not sure what engine to go with in future. Ummm, the bed is in OK shape however the underneath of bed is mostly gone. Front clip is pretty good, minor surface rust here and there, and a few holes from side molding that will be repaired. I cannot stand the sight of molding. Ummm...I have everything that originally came with the truck but havent went through it much so I am unsure what is good and bad. I am looking for a decent cab as of now as that is what I would like to begin with. The frame is allready done and in great shape. So, not sure how long it is going to take to restore this wonder, but im in for the haul My wife and I have always wanted to restore something, and this is perfect ....Anyway again and hope to have a good experience here on this forum.
