Re: how about this 6am pie eyed idea!
Buy a plain repro grille and cut the letters in backwards so it`s like an ecnalubma(ambulance).Forget the turn signal part, for sure. How about oscillating left to right (or right to left,if backwards) like Kit on Night Rider?

Re: how about this 6am pie eyed idea!
Cool idea, but how would you fill the old turn signal holes? Be kinda expensive getting the grill rechromed, won't it?

Re: how about this 6am pie eyed idea!
I did something real similar to an 89 stepside chevy truck I had. I put the tailgate up on a big milling machine we used to have here in the shop. I cut the word "chevrolet" out of the sheetmetal, next I epoxied a piece of semi transparent acrylic inside the tailgate shell, then I hung two neon tubes inside the tailgate. When the driving lights came on, so did the "neon chevrolet" in the tailgate. It was real fun, people would get behind me at night and turn off their headlights to see if it was a reflection or not. I'll see if I can find a picture, and post it. I say go for it jamon8, be different!

Hmmmm, wouldn't work if ya had the clear lenses, or would it, just add
amber bulbs, or red, or blue, or purple, could get kinda freaky with this.

Re: how about this 6am pie eyed idea!
I wouldn't say do away with the parking lights or "flashers" all together...just cut your letters out and have them light up when the parking lights come on that would prolly look better then blacking them out or a better alternative to Re-chroming the entire grille (expensive)...

Re: how about this 6am pie eyed idea!
how about doing somthing like that tailgate concept. keep the turns were they are and just run led style lights behind the cut outs. the color would have to be right as you don't want it to look like a honda or somthing that imports are into like underglow but it is your truck so do it the way you want
