Carpet Kit

Anybody have an opinon on which is better. Nifty Products Carpet Kit through Summit, or a Carpet Kit from Chevy Duty (classic parts). 84 2wd Automatic Standard Cab.

i got mine from chevy duty.wasn't all that impressed with the fit, pretty wrinkled up and lumpy,i made it work, but for somebody that knew what they were doing could have made it look better.probably all manufactured by the same outfit.

Most folks refer to the carpet as a carpet kit. For the trucks it is just one piece. Of course for cars, suburbans and other vihicle ther are several pieces so that is where "kit" comes from.

Re: Carpet Kit

Trust me, all carpet kits are NOT the same. Some of them are poor quality, poor fitment, and a hassle to put in.

The kits from ACC are the best made. Let Captkaos take care of you and get carpet that you will be pleased with.

Just getting a chance to respond now. I ordered the ACC carpet kit from Summit Racing. It says padding included. S'posed to be here in a couple of weeks as they don't make it until ordered. I'll update w/ pics and rating.

Re: Carpet Kit

If you ordered from me it would have been there in about 5-7 days based on your location and $33 cheaper than summit, if you included shipping it would have been $13 cheaper than their listed price. They are already pre-made, even if they were drop shipped.... Either way you won't be disappointed...

Re: Carpet Kit

The ACC is a sure bet. Why did not buy from Chris? We need to support our own vendors. Plus you would have gotton the carpet faster and cheaper as Chris said.

Re: Carpet Kit

If all goes well on my tranny swap, so that I can finally drive the truck and work on improvment over nessacary crap, I'll order one.

I hope to redo the whole interior and some exterior work also on the 86 4x4.

I need new carpet for sure, and would like to get some of the aluminum sill plates instead of one piece plastic, then order me a dash pad, maybe just a cover, and recover my bench or something. Dunno what else interior wise LOL.

I'll be ordering from Chris since he's cheaper then summit. I thought they were the cheapest but i guess not.

Re: Carpet Kit

I bought the Auc 2711 from summit for 112.64 shipped, and I was surprised to get it today. It has the padding under the front side. It will work for what I need, but I think there may be another level up that I could/would have bought from chris. Now that I know, i'll try and do business through you. I will need a good dash pad soon.

Re: Carpet Kit

Just a thought...you might look into cancelling the Summit order right now and get it from Chris for faster delivery and a better price. If they deliver in a few weeks and he's good a week at a better price, well the math would seem to work IMHO.

Due to the configurations/colors, I haven't put them on the site yet. You can call me or email me with what you are looking for though.

Price for a regular cab carpet kit is $147 shipped anywhere.
