dash wiring harness replacement
well guys,
i am finally getting it on the road after a 4 1/2 yr rebuild. i am going to get it inspected & re-registered. i am replacing the dash harness & am wanting to know if anyone can give me some insite on how to do it??? i have a new one from m-h. my old one is butchered pretty bad! (p.o.) i am going to try to just unplug & plug new- one by one at a time & then run it to the fire wall? how does that sound?? any input would be very appreciated!! thanks! rodstored-72 |

Re: dash wiring harness replacement
That's probably the easiest way!!! Actually, put some forethought into how the harness should be routed in and around components, because you don't want to get too far into something and find out that the other half of the harness has accidentally looped around the steering column!!
I've heard that the M&H harnesses are very good, so it shouldn't be too much trouble to tackle it. Be careful of cuts and splices in the original harness and try to avoid making the same shoddy hacks (if your original is like that) as someone else did. |
