Painting question about new radiator support?
I am new to this board, but like what I see so far compared to other forums dealing with classic trucks. I spend a couple of days reading 20+ pages of back posts to kinda get a feel for this site. I likey. I have disassembled the front of my truck with the intention of doing a frame off restore but have lost interest in it for now, so I putting it all back together so I can drive it again hopefully regenerating new interest in it. Now for the questions. I have already purchased new radiator support and front interfenders from LMC, they have a black coating on them. Is this a primer or not? Does it need to be removed before I paint them? Thanks for any help but keep it simple I don't savvy paint very good.

Re: Painting question about new radiator support?
no you don't have to remove it, just fix whatever imperfections they might have and primer it then paint

And in the future, our Board vendors will beat most if not all of LMC's prices

IMHO it's not just a blanket answer that you can primer and paint over it - it depends on the primer. |
