rear end swap

i have a 64 c20 with an eaton. since parts for this are few and i found a 69 dana, is this a good swap? the rear gears i have are 4.56 and i am looking to put something like a 3.73 in there. any other ideas? thanks

I believe the rears will swap between 60-72 years from coil to coil trucks. There are plenty of 12-bolts out there in junk yards. If you get one out of a 1/2 ton V8 truck it should be 3.73 or close to it. 6 cyl and heavier duty trucks had higher ratio rears as far as I know.
