Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
I guess the pic is of the truck in question... What are they asking and in what general condition is it in? Body looks real good and unmolested. Since it has a big back window, thats a big positive. If its not running and the title is clear, I would probably spend 1500-to no more than 2500. It all depends on how bad you want it...

Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
He says it's in good shape orignal interior except for the seat and that's it he has not run in about a year it needs a wring harness which he has but has not put on yet. Supposed to have new brakes to. He wants $2500 for but I think he will take less. He has a 59 to but I like the big back window.

Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
If it was me I would pay it. This truck would have been a candidate for me when I was looking for a 55-59 back in June. That big back window is a definite selling point...

Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
go for that man looks to be in good shape. Offer 2k and see what he says. really a nice truck and perfect for a fixer upp as it looks complete. I would grab that in a heart beat! What would your plans be for it? what type of budget are you looking at remeber to factor this in and then look at the price. also if you have a bidget double it. IF your doing the work yoursef it should be very rewarding truck when complete and if you pay some one it will still be rewarding just make sure they come recomended and you like there work. I am a big fan of doing work myself.

Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
I would think that it also depends on where you live.
I got my project parts for $400 no joke. and the guy had already put together all duplicate parts to replace the bad doors, hood, etc. came with 2 or 3 over every part of a grill, lamp or badge. at least one of every interior part, and enough window frames to assemble 2 really nice sets. wasnt' running of course, tranny was seized up too! I felt it was too good a deal to turn down, and snatched it up. Now I can't wait to finish and sell the 71 to get started on the 56. I say come with cash, a trailer, and a buddy and a winch to pull the truck on your trailer. offer 2000 or so, and see what happens.... |M|

Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
Gentlemen went to go look at the truck this weekend and it's in good shape it has some bondo in the front fenders. The core support and inner fenders are in great shape the cab floor need a little work doors need a little work on the bottoms bed is solid may have a little bondo. Probably will run with a little work has new carb and radiator and new wiring harness. I think this would be a total restore but it would be worth it. I don't have the space for it right now and it's little different than 67-72 trucks, but if one of you are interest PM and let me know it's in Bonner Springs Kansas.
Thanks for all the help!

Re: What is it worth 55 with big back window
I say if you can afford it, buy it, drive it, and restore it. We can give you advice and tips as you need. Buy the tools/parts as you need them. Go from there.
