Sensor beside oil pressure sensor?
Pulled the old 350 out of my truck and noticed at the back that there are two sensors. I know for certain that one of them is for the oil pressure gauge but I havent a clue what the other is for. They are teed in together and screw into the block with a single fitting into the oil pressure hole. It has factory wiring hooked to both so I think this is a factory deal. Wondering if i can do away with one of them??????? Thanks!!!!

Re: Sensor beside oil pressure sensor?
Do you have gauges or idiot lights on the dash? If you have gauges I would say one sensor is for the gauges and the other is a switch for the electric choke. The switch is used to activate the choke when you have oil pressure.

Yes it does have an oil pressure gauge with the idiot light. I can do away with the choke sensor if i am going to an aftermarket carburetor right????
