Buy from united states and bring to canada

Exactly what it says folks. If i wanted to purchase a bagged and bodydropped or stfbdropped
chevy 1/2 ton and bring it over from the U.S to Canada there are numerous gates to open. I would have to get a safety inspection foremost. What im wondering maybe not so much about the bags but when they get this thing on a lift and they see the frame has been z'd and underneath the rails have been boxed in and etc etc etc is things gonna go awry. This quesion maybe based more so to the Canucks here who have had an experience bringing over a custom show truck. A guy would hate to get it here and they wont let you put insurance on it to drive, even if the work was done in the safest best possibly way.If it was just a normal chevy then hey maybe a tie rod or ball joint but its a different can of worms with drops and cuts etc etc. Can anyone with experience that has brought something like this into canada tell me what to do or think?

Re: Buy from united states and bring to canada

i sold my Mitsubishi Eclipse gsx awd turbo 5 speed
it had a lot done to it bigger turbo and drooped 2.5" 18" rim's and a ton more
i am in the us and the guy that bout it was in Canada
it was in customs for 2 and 1/2 months and when he got it safety inspected
it did not pass because it had no cat,the wasegate was open to the air (not back into the exhaust) no horn, bad CB joint, stone chip in the windshield, the tires rubbed the inter wheel well
and i think there was something else but he spent a lot of money to fix every thing it was a good thing i gave him all of the old part's like stock coils, tires, and some more thing's

it was nightmare because i was trying to help him out and not just leave him hi and dry
so i would call some one first and tell them what is going on before buying it

and the guy i sold the car was vary cocky and that may of played a part in it
