Do you think It may have been a bigblock originally?
This is what I know now the engine is a 350 sbc with a 400 turbo, but I know that it was originally a manual.
I the engine towers are all the way foward. And the engine never gets above 160 degrees. (maybe a big block radiator) Is there anyway to tell for sure?

Re: Do you think It may have been a bigblock originally?
If it originally had a BB in it, there would be two heat shields mounted oneach side of the firewall, between it and the exhaust manifold. BB's had them, SB's did not.
****Correction - there was only one head shied on the passenger side fire wall - I just verified it.**** Here is a pic I just shot in th garage.

If it's a 2wd and it had a BB it should have a bolt-in trans hump, instead of welded.

Re: Do you think It may have been a bigblock originally?
72 longhorn BB pegged it, or at least thats the first thing I check for in the boneyards even if it has a small block. If there's a motor in the truck and your vision is blocked viewing from the hood area, just pull up the carpet on the passenger side in front of the bench seat, if there's some sort of rivots sticking up, it was a small block, if there's screws, thats what is holding the heat shield in place
